Contact centers are entering a world where customers interact with humans, AI agents, chatbots, and IVRs across a single journey. Every one of those touchpoints generates data, every one creates risk, and no single vendor is governing what happens across all of them.

When a human agent handles a customer interaction, contact centers measure customer experience, quality compliance, productivity, attendance, and handle time. AI agents eliminate some of those metrics, but they introduce entirely new ones.
AI agents do not have attendance problems or handle time concerns, but they hallucinate, they give incorrect answers, and they create compliance risk that regulators are watching closely. The AI agent market is fragmenting fast.
